QTS’ Irving hyperscale customer is executing on its plan to incrementally increase its capacity. The company initially selected QTS in 2016 to deliver on its hyperscale growth strategy and is now expanding by an additional two megawatt HyperBlock with the option to scale by an additional two megawatts over time.

QTS today announced details of an anchor tenant agreement in its new 317,000 square foot mega data center in Chicago previously disclosed on October 25. The hyperscale cloud provider selected QTS in early 2016 to provide more than 20,000 square feet and four megawatts of power. The new agreement dramatically increases the company’s usage to a total of 40,000 square feet and eight megawatts of power at the LEED Gold certified QTS Dallas-Fort Worth mega data center. The rapid pace of expansion was driven by the fast growing use of cloud services, coupled with QTS’ ability to quickly scale to its clients’ needs.
Responding to increasing demand for highly compliant cloud and managed IT infrastructure as a service (IaaS) solutions, QTS, a trusted provider of data center, managed hosting and cloud services, and Virtustream, an enterprise-class cloud provider and EMC Federation company, today announced a joint cloud hosting and compliance services agreement.
