There’s little doubt about the accuracy of those words spoken by the United States’ 26th president. If a customer doesn’t feel that the company they are working with cares about their specific needs, it doesn’t matter how knowledgeable that company is: their words will soon fall on deaf ears.

In the data solutions industry, having the most advanced technology and infrastructure does little good if you don’t have the right people in place to put that technology to work for the customer. That’s why, at QTS, we understand the importance of our people, and our customers have taken notice.

A few years ago at QTS, we set out on a journey to provide our customers with a premium customer experience. We began to regularly survey our customers about their experience with QTS, using Net Promoter Score (NPS) as our measurement tool. NPS is a program used by a wide array of businesses to measure the loyalty of their customers.

We’re excited to report that in 2015, we achieved an NPS of 63.5, which leads the data center industry. We increased our NPS by more than 15 percent over 2014’s score of 55.1. Our customers rated us highly in a range of service areas, including our physical facilities, processes, staff responsiveness and services, both on site and in our 24-hour Operations Service Center.
