QTS Expands Partnership to Become Cisco Intercloud Fabric Provider

Mega data center and cloud provider will present at June Cisco Live event
Overland Park, Kan. (June 8, 2015) – QTS Realty Trust (NYSE: QTS), one of the nation’s leading providers of data center facilities and cloud services, is now a Cisco Intercloud Fabric provider, the company announced today. QTS has a longstanding partnership with Cisco, a technology provider for QTS’ Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions.

By becoming an Intercloud Fabric provider QTS can now give its customers access to an array of scalable, reliable hybrid cloud solutions. The Cisco Intercloud is a globally connected network of highly secure public and private cloud providers whose infrastructure aligns with Cisco’s best-of-breed cloud architecture.

QTS’ suite of highly secure, compliant IaaS solutions include the QTS Enterprise Cloud, the FedRAMP compliant QTS Federal Cloud and QTS Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS), an enterprise-grade, cloud based disaster recovery solution.

“As our customers’ IT needs continue to evolve, QTS is dedicated to elevating our hybrid cloud offering and providing the most flexible, scalable IaaS solutions available to support their applications,” said Frank Eagle, Vice President, Business Development – QTS. “Joining the Cisco Intercloud Ecosystem is one way that we are acting on that dedication. We are proud to be a Cisco partner.”

In addition to QTS’ commitment to Cisco’s technology, QTS and Cisco sales teams work effectively together to understand customer requirements and deliver joint solutions. Our teams proactively collaborate in markets of focus including the healthcare, Federal and technology sectors.

“Every day in conversations with customers, trends point toward cloud platforms and subscription-based IT,” said Gee Rittenhouse, SVP Cloud & Virtualization Group at Cisco. “However, cloud adaption is slow due to security and compliance requirements. With Cisco Intercloud Fabric technology, QTS Enterprise Cloud offers a suite of highly secure, compliant IaaS and Disaster Recovery as a Service solutions with cloud economics. That is providing a choice to customers and accelerating cloud adoption.”
