A 10-foot high Ameristar security fence with an exterior gate surrounds the perimeter of the campus, and the single point of entrance to the parking lot is monitored around-the-clock. The exterior gate is equipped with video cameras, intercom and badge systems, and security guards patrol the site throughout the day.
The facility’s lobby is locked 24x7. Badged clients may enter, but security guards must buzz all other visitors in. Interior security features become stricter as facility guests get closer to critical environments.
Sitting on 30-acres, QTS Chicago has room to duplicate its existing footprint. From its initial 48,000 sq. ft. data center footprint, the facility can grow to 134,000 sq. ft., providing data center real estate that was previously missing in the Chicago data center market. QTS Chicago customers have room in the mega data center to grow, so their IT environments can easily scale and expand with them.
